Boxers in particular are genetically prone to cardiomyopathy, subaortic stenosis, and cancer. Heart disease and cancer are our two biggest causes of early death by far.
Cancer is being diagnosed in at least 50% of the canine pet population now (maybe much higher).
So why not feed a simple supplement that addresses both those imbalances at the same time that can also fill in lots of micronutrient gaps in even the best raw food bowl? “Prevention is worth a pound of cure” in this case.
NingXia Red has an antioxidant score that is tens of thousands of ORAC score points above even the highest natural sources of antioxidants such as blueberries. Antioxidants reduce free radicals in the body. Free radicals are a huge factor in the formation of cancerous tumors.
Changes in our world, including ‘soft’ water has caused many in the United States and Europe to be lacking in key minerals needed to keep the heart healthy.
Many of us in this group are also purifying our water to remove glyphosate and heavy metals, but we are also removing beneficial minerals at the same time. Minerals including potassium, magnesium and chromium are all said to have cardioprotective properties and guess what? The Ningxia wolfberry has all three of those key minerals from the soil it’s grown in and water run off from the Yellow River that is rich in these (plus even more) trace minerals.
Potassium alone is vital for maintaining blood pressure, cellular fluid balance and pH balance! Yale University researcher, Steven Coco says, “Increases in dietary potassium benefits several disease states. These include the treatment of hypertension, stroke prevention, arrhythmia prevention and treatment of congestive heart failure.” (2005)
Guess what is one of the richest known foods in potassium? Ningxia Wolfberry.
Along with those trace minerals, the Wolfberry is rich in the amino acid L-arginine, niacin and fiber. Dogs need fiber too, and unless you are feeding whole prey with fur and feathers, they are likely lacking in fiber. Check out what each of those is said to do for your heart.
Since heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in humans (and my own dear Mother died of heart disease and my own father died of cancer), I drink lots of NingXia Red myself. I do not plan to follow in my parents footsteps.
