Hey
Does chidog food contain synthetics?
Thank you
From the folks at ChiDog:
“Our vitamins and minerals are manufactured in the US and regulated by the FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine.
Some essential minerals occur naturally in the earth and some minerals need to be chelated, (such as copper, zinc, selenium) so they are in a stable form in the packaging.”
In short this means that there are some, but they did not specify which specifically. This is pretty common in almost every brand of food, and for homemade cooks who are trying to round-out the nutrients in their recipes. Unless you’re calculating to the micro nutrient level from whole food sources.
In high quality foods like ChiDog or Viva Raw or Volhard, even Crockpet, the amount is quite small. These are products I trust explicitly.
In foods like the raw grinds (80/10/10) they are simply the meat, bone, organ, liver. These diets can be considered complete, but include no veg or additional v/m of any kind.
