Cabbage & Brussel Spouts

Cancer Fighting Food

Cruciferous veggies contain a group of sulfur-containing compounds called glucosinolates. These molecules are especially plentiful in leafy cabbages, especially Brussels sprouts.

What’s so special about glucosinolates? They work by releasing two very powerful compounds – indoles and isothiocyanate which are involved in the metabolization and elimination of carcinogens.
