MultiVitamin Options

If you are feeding a fresh balanced diet without lots of synthetic ingredients, adding a multi-vitamin isn’t usually necessary. Example, nothing needs to be added to Volhard diets, Dr. Harvey, Smack, Carna 4.

If you’re making homemade food and using rotational ingredients (proteins, veg, organ meats, bone/bone meal, etc) you may not need to add a multi-vitamin either.

If you’re not sure – let’s do a recipe review!

If you are looking for a high quality multi-vitamin let me recommoend:

  • Endurance – Volhard includes liver source
  • Total Body Support – Dr. Ruth, Includes liver source (beef and pork)
  • Daily Wellness – Dr. Ruth (does not include animal products)
  • Nutrients - Herbsmith (as me about drop shipped orders)

Multi-Essentials - NHV – herbs that help better absorb nutrients from foods and provides healthy source of select key vitamins.

Canine Basics - Thorne Vet / Fullsript – good, but includes more sythetics
Rx Essentials – Fullscript. An option, but a little more synthetic than desired.

If you are making homemade food and looking for a source of Glandulars (organ) to round out your recipe – consdier Guts and Glory from 4 Leaf Rover.
